After an European tender the Federation of the European Sporting Goods Industry (FESI) selected Westerlingen to develop an international awareness campaign, focussing on the disadvantages of buying counterfeit articles online. For this, we introduced the brand character Bucky Misfit, a kind of funny anti-hero who loves sport (soccer, running, golf, you name it), and loves to score. Particularly, sporting goods for suspicious low prices on dodgy websites. Through several video's distributed around the biggest European sporting events via social media and narrowcasting, Bucky pointedly illustrated what happens when you buy fake, concluding with the campaign theme Score the Real Thing!
